The performances will generally be films that you can view on your computer, but I will try to organize a field trip to the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, VA to see one of the plays live. There will be two formal papers and a lot of less formal writing in and out of class twice.

After a break, the remainder of the class will have two briefs that go into topics from the lecture in more detail and 3. Short Matters Arising presentations that will take up topics in the news, print or digital media in the class topic-area and relate the accuracy of this reported information to its source.
